The Fifth Seam wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that sometimes items may not meet your expectations. This Return Policy outlines our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. 2. Return Window

2.1 Return Eligibility

Returns are accepted within 6 hours of delivery only under the following circumstances:

 

·  Wrong Item Delivered: You received an incorrect item or product

·   Defective or Damaged:The item arrived damaged, defective, or with  manufacturing defects

 All returns are accepted on a return for exchange basis. No refunds are available, only exchnages.

 

2.2 Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded under any circumstances:

 

·      Correct Orders:Items that are correct but do not meet your personal expectations, preferences, or style

·       Custom or Bespoke Items:Any items made to order or customized per your specifications

·       Final Sale or discounted Items

·       Worn or Damaged by Customer:Items that show signs of wear, washing, or damage caused by customer use

·       Missing Tags or Labels:Items with removed or damaged original tags and labels

·       Altered Items:Items that have been altered, tailored, or modified by anyone other than The Fifth Seam

 

3. How to Initiate a Return

3.1 Contact Us Immediately

If you wish to return an item, you must contact us within 3 hours of delivery with:

 ·       Your order number

·       Photos of the item showing the issue (for defective/damaged items)

·       A brief description of the problem

3.2 Return Authorization

Once we receive your return request, we will:

1. Review your photos and information

2. Determine if the item qualifies for return

3. Provide you with a return authorization number and shipping instructions

4. Arrange a courier pickup or provide a return address

**We do not process returns without prior authorization.**

 

3.3 Return Shipping

 

Return Shipping Costs:

·       Defective or Wrong Item:The Fifth Seam covers return shipping costs

·       Other Eligible Returns:Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed 

Please retain your courier receipt and tracking number for your records.

 

4. Return Condition Requirements

 

Items must be returned in the following condition:

 

·       Unworn and Unwashed:The item must not have been worn or washed

·       Original Packaging:Items should be returned in original packaging if possible

·       All Tags Attached:Original tags, labels, and care instructions must be intact

·       No Alterations:Items must not have been altered, tailored, or modified

·       Clean Condition:Items must be clean and free from odors, stains, or damage

 

Items that do not meet these conditions may be refused or subject to a restocking fee.

 

5. Return Process

 

5.1 Shipping Your Return

 

Once authorized:

 

1. Pack the item securely in its original packaging (if available)

2. Include the return authorization number

3. Ship to the address provided by The Fifth Seam

4. Use a courier service with tracking capability

5. Keep your tracking number

 

5.2 Inspection and Processing

 

Upon receipt of your return:

 

1. We will inspect the item to verify it meets return conditions

2. We will confirm receipt via email

3. Processing typically takes 5-7 business days

4. You will receive an email notification once processing is complete

 

6. Refunds

 We offer only exchanges, refunds are not done unless there was no delivery. In most cases attempts will be made to delivery such items.

7.1 Exchange Process

 

If an exchange is approved:

 

1. Contact us within 6 hours of delivery

2. Provide your order number and the item you wish to exchange

3. Specify the size, color, or style you would like instead

4. Follow the return process above

 

7.2 Exchange Shipping

 

Customer is responsible for shipping costs.

Exchanges are subject to product availability. If your requested item is out of stock, we will:

Items made to order or customized per your specifications are non-returnable and non-refundable under any circumstances. Please carefully review your specifications before confirming a custom order.

 

11. Final Sale Items

 

Items marked as "Final Sale" on the product page are non-returnable and non-refundable except in cases of defects or damage. Final Sale items typically include:

 

·       Clearance or discounted items

·       Limited edition pieces

12. International Returns

 

For customers outside Nigeria:

 

·       International return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility

·       Returns must still be initiated within 3 hours of delivery
